GOOGLE IS IN TROUBLE THANKS TO JOKER

Color Message, an android application having more than 500,000 downloads from the Play Store has been found hosting malware that signs users up to very expensive subscriptions as found by Pradeo Security. Color Message adds emojis and blocks unwanted texts. But it contains a malware called Joker which falls under the category of virus known as fleeceware which is a type of malware application that comes with hidden subscription fees. This type of malware is hard to find because of the tiny footprint of its code and the various techniques its developers use to store it. One can avoid getting this malware by avoiding apps made by unknown developers and sticking to the ones that are known as much as possible.
